Guido and Donna started their ministry of music with the release of their first recording,
" It’s About Time.”
In 1991, Guido and Donna Ministries consisted of: Guido playing piano, Donna singing, their oldest daughter, Angela playing drums, and their other two daughters, Gina and Lisa, singing back up. A real family affair! For two years Guido and Donna Ministries blessed many churches of various denominations primarily around Phoenix, Arizona. In those days, balancing family, work, and ministry were extremely difficult. So Guido and Donna decided to put their public ministry on hold until their daughters were older.

Then in 1995, we were excited to have Brianna Joy our 4th daughter born. Shortly there after, Donna developed breast cancer. Their ministry shifted to prayer and intercession for Donna’s health. It was extremely painful to see the destructive affects of chemo at work in Donna’s body. After each dose of chemo, Donna’s white blood count would drop. She became frail and tired. Her long beautiful brunette hair resulted in a scarf or a wig covering her baldness. Some of the medicines she took seemed to help replenish the white blood cells; which created a false energy, that made Donna feel great for a couple of days, until the next injection of chemo, which killed the good blood cells again. This roller coaster ride seemed never ending.

Guido found some sanity by remaining faithful to playing the piano at church. He also found solace in composing his music. Out of these moments came the birth of the most recent C.D., “New Day Dawning.” Yes, in fact, it has been a new day dawning, because we rejoice to God that Donna has been cancer free for 5 years.
